Why not join us at one of our "Better Life" events and find out how Derwentside Employment Team can help you improve your lifestyle. The first "Better Life" event was held on the 25th June 2008 at the Lamplight Arts Centre 10am-2pm. The most recent Event was held at Consett Methodist Church 17th September 2008, 10am-2pm. Working with Employers to find the right people! Karen Johnson from Stanley became anxious about the chances of ever getting back to work but Derwentside Employment Team (DET) stepped in at just the right time and found an excellent opportunity with a Consett based company, Durham Legal Services.

Taking Stock
Taking Stock! Stewart Whyte from the Green Corridor area of Stanley works part time in the Warehouse at Wilkinson’s’ unloading wagons and taking in deliveries, it’s a far cry from his management position in the finance industry but happiness comes in small packages and Stewart is certainly a happier man these days.
